Vacation homes are meant to be a luxury, and yet sometimes they can give you a headache.

Lake Wildwood is a breathtaking retreat that you come to in order to enjoy a break from your everyday life. To experience nature. To golf. To boat. To spend time with family and friends.

Yet nothing is quite the buzzkill like arriving after fighting Friday evening traffic only to discover that you had left a bowl of peaches on the counter the last time you left (in a word- ants), or hear a smoke alarm beeping atop a vaulted ceiling (in an acronym- FML), or find that it has been long enough since the water has run that sewer smells are coming up through your shower drains (in a sound- gag). We know, because all of these things have happened to us… and other costly mistakes that have ruined what would have been an amazing weekend.

And even if you make it through the weekend mishap free, you may get a hefty dose of anxiety when you get home. Did I turn off the thermostat? Will my neighbors be mad that I left the trash cans out again? Did the storm cause any damage to my home I need to deal with?

Our goal at Wildwood Weekender is to make it so that you love Lake Wildwood more with every visit you make here and have peace of mind about your home while you are away.
